Congratulations to Mo Maliks!

A huge congratulations to Mo Maliks for absolutely smashing out Cambridge Foodies end of year poll!

The door to ecstasy!

Mo Maliks has not been on the scene long but has already taken the city by storm providing high-quality Indian cuisine from Orchard Park. It has been duly needed too, with North Cambridge suffering from a deficit of high-quality Indian and Bangladeshi restaurants for some time.

Winning with a whopping 32 votes, Mo Maliks absolutely destroyed the competition, beating Mitchellin star restaurant Restaurant 22 (24 votes), MJP @ The Shepards (12 votes), and The Banna Leaf on Milton Road (10 votes).

But why do we love Mo Maliks?

Personal highlights from The Cambridge Curry Community Facebook page are this stunning example above of the Lamb Nihari. Slow-cooked lamb shank in Bhuna-style sauce.

Sylheti Goat Aloo and onion rice

This mouth-watering picture of a gorgeous Syhleti Goat Aloo from our very own Admin at Cambridge Foodies, Sean.

"My Goat Aloo was spectacular"

"A Real depth of flavour and so nice to have a different meat for a change. The goat was tender and juicy, which I know is a difficult thing to achieve."

Is there a sweeter sign?

And they even pander to shameless hot heads like myself with extra hot vindaloo's, which are always executed to absolute molten perfection!

They are constantly pushing the boat out and experimenting with fusion dishes. One example from their menu is the Malik's Meatballs which are delicately spiced homemade meatballs in a tomato and curry sauce, merging Indian spices with Italian dishes.

For those of you who have not had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful team at Mo Maliks and trying some of the excellent food they have to offer, make sure you check them out now!
